The following guides are well-known to us and are very popular with our traveling anglers for having excellent technical skills and for being good company. You may book them to accompany you to the lodges near San Martin, Junin and Bariloche. Some offer customized overnight float trips which are unique and will provide a real immersion in Patagonia fly fishing. Booking them and your accommodations early is a must.

My name is Carlos Viscarro but most people know me as "Tuqui". I was born in this area and have loved fly fishing since I was a child. I started guiding when I was 18. Time and life have given me lots of satisfaction as I now have my own fly fishing outfitting company where I'm also the head guide. Fishing used to be my life and my passion, which I now share with my wife Eliana and my beloved son Augusto. Please, allow me to show you the best trout fishing in my favorite places of Patagonia.

My name is Javier Gonzalez Pannuti. I was born and raised in Buenos Aires where, at a very early age, I developed a spirited enthusiasm for fishing. It was finally at the age of nineteen when I started fly fishing and got involved in this extraordinary region of Patagonia where I gained an intimate knowledge of fisheries while also improving my fishing technique.

I am a technician in aquaculture, having completed my studies in the University of Comahue, Bariloche, Argentina. I continued my professional career with Patagonia Outfitters, owned by Jorge Trucco, a fly fishing pioneer in this region and representative of Frontiers International in Argentina.

During the 12 years I worked for Patagonia Outfitters, I had the honor of knowing and guiding well-known celebrities in the fly fishing world such as: Mike Lawson, Peter Kaminski, Jack Hemingway, Mike Fitzgerald Jr. and Cathy & Barry Beck, amongst others. Today, with over ten years of experience, a group of colleagues and I have started our own joint venture. We would like to invite anglers to visit our region and enjoy its stunning landscape, its unspoiled nature and last but not least, its unbelievably productive waters. Our professional guidance will assure you a successful stay and unique fishing experience.

My name is Alec Page. I was born in Cordoba (central Argentina) where at an early age I began fishing trout in the small streams that ran across my grandmother's ranch. Our family vacations also contributed to my passion as we fished different areas of Patagonia every year. After graduating from high school I worked in the ranching business for 8 years, though I had a burning passion of immersing myself in the fantastic world of fly-fishing. When I finally moved to Patagonia, I worked for a well-known fishing club in the area for 3 years, followed by 10 years working for Patagonia Outfitters both as a fishing and wing shooting guide. Now I have joined a group of guides, who together with me are ready to guide you, and to show you the best fishing in the area.

My name is Lucas Buxton. I was born in Neuquen, Argentina but was raised in different countries due to my father’s work. Always attending American schools, I spent every summer vacation fishing the San Martin and Junin de los Andes areas.

I started fishing with a tarrito that uses a coffee can with a fishing line wrapped around it, much like a spinning reel, using lures that you whip out. I got into fly-fishing when I was about 12, self taught of course,

In 1995, I attended Montana State University in Bozeman. There I learned from fishing with some of the greatest guides in the world. My fishing education included entomology, fishing techniques, fly-tying, equipment, fly-development, all of which I have been able to successfully apply in my home waters of Argentina.
