Rio Manso Lodge

Rio Manso Lodge is located 1.5 hours south of San Carlos de Bariloche in the southern part of the "lake district". The lodge overlooks Lago Hess with an incredible view of the gleaming glacier fields surrounding the triple peaks of Mount Tronador. Here a combination of river-connected lakes provides the opportunity to fly-seduce hefty browns, rainbows and brook trout. The cozy lodge is well-managed by your congenial hosts Sebastian and Eugenia Graziosi. Sebastian is fond of piping the anglers in from the river on his Highlands bagpipes. Fishing is a combination of wading the river channels, western-U.S. type floating and floating in a johnboat while casting dragonfly imitations to the reed beds. Given the well-developed non-angling programs (hiking, bird watching) Rio Manso Lodge is ideal for couples and families with different personal interests. The lodge combines well with the El Encuentro Lodge near Esquel and the Fundo El Salto Lodge in Chile.
