Heart of Patagonia Lodge

Heart of Patagonia Lodge is located in a picturesque valley, 1.5-hour drive from the Balmaceda airport, where two of Chile's best trout rivers converge; the productive Simpson and the Maniuales rivers form the Rio Aisen. In total there are more than 6 wonderful rivers within short drives of the lodge. The variety of rivers assures fishable conditions no matter what the weather may do. This is classic, American West-style trout fishing at its best. In the course of the day you will use streamers, nymphs and dry flies as the river conditions dictate as you float and wade your way down stream. Large browns, rainbows and increasing numbers of salmon often provide anglers with the personal largest fish during their stays. Mariana Jenkins, the charming owner and hostess has made a grand farmhouse into a cozy lodge where excellent food and service compliment the fine fishing. Mariana is very creative at arranging non-fishing activities. The Heart of Patagonia Lodge is ideally suited for fishing couples or private parties of 6-8 good friends.
